Pictures 1 and 2 are of Trogir (near Split) during an escape we made there in November 2001.  Pictures 3-5 are from our drive back to Sarajevo -- we stopped by some Bogomil heretic graves on the way.

Makarska

Pictures 6-8:  above Makarska in February 2002 -- as you can see, it's a lot warmer than Sarajevo.  Picture 9 is a sunset in Makarska in June 2002.
